Become a Part of the Nantucket Grown Campaign!

We proudly present to you three opportunities to be a part of the Nantucket Grown Campaign in 2012: through participating in the Nantucket Grown Brand, advertising in the Nantucket Grown Magazine, or both!

Participate in the Nantucket Grown Brand. Sustainable Nantucket is delighted to announce the availability of the Nantucket Grown Brand. This initiative aims to raise awareness about locally grown produce and products.  In order to achieve access to the Brand, a business must be consistently sourcing a percentage of their produce and products from local farms and purveyors.  Members who qualify will be able to use the Nantucket Grown logo in their branding and marketing, including use on their products, produce, menus, websites, and Facebook pages.  Restaurants will be awarded a “2012 Nantucket Grown” window badge to display their commitment to local farmers and purveyors. Along with being rewarded and recognized for your commitment to our local farms and local economy,this is a wonderful marketing and PR opportunity for your business. Additionally, Nantucket Grown Brand members will be listed in the annual Nantucket Grown Magazine, will receive a listing on the Sustainable Nantucket website, and, periodically, mentioned in e-newsletters sent to Sustainable Nantucket members. Important Magazine Deadlines:

~ March 26 – Deadline to reserve ad space in the 2012 Nantucket Grown magazine.

~ April 1 – Submit your Nantucket Grown Brand application or Farmers & Artisans Market Vender Application (if applicable) by April 1, 2012 to be placed in a lottery (if approved), with the winning restaurant & vendors’  profiles featured in Sustainable Nantucket’s Nantucket Grown magazine

Take advantage of the opportunity to cross-promote for new members! The two branches of the Nantucket Grown Campaign are separate and participation in both is not required, however, if you are interested in participating in the label AND advertising in the magazine, there is an opportunity to cross-promote for new members:

  • if you qualify to carry the NG Brand, as a new member you will receive a 15% discount on any size ad in the NG Magazine
  • if you apply and qualify for the NG Brand before April 1st, as a new member you will be entered into a lottery to have a profile written about your business in the magazine
