In an effort to further strengthen our local food economy as well as the overall economic and environmental stability of our island community, Sustainable Nantucket along with Seth and Angela Raynor—chefs and owners of the Pearl and Boardinghouse—will be co-hosting a gathering for local chefs, growers, fishermen, and food producers on Sunday, June 7th., from 1:303:30.

Our thanks to the Nantucket Yacht Club for generously providing the location!

This gathering will give farmers, fishermen, and producers a chance to meet directly with Nantucket’s chefs to form, or to reaffirm mutually beneficial relationships.

We are hoping each farmer, fish provider, and value-added food producer can create a one-page “bio” sheet that lists what you intend to have available during the 2015 season, as well as an overview of your business and some general biographical and contact information. Sustainable Nantucket is happy to help by producing multiple copies of your info sheet to hand out to chefs. If you would like us to do this, please feel free to email us your info sheets by Monday, June 1st. Your copies will be available for pick-up by noon on Friday, June 5thor we can take them to the meeting for you. We would also like to offer food producers the opportunity to bring in samples of their products.
