Farm to School is excited to announce our annual Harvest Dinner celebrating Farm to School Month and the fall bounty of the Farm to School Garden, Bartlett’s Farm and Washashore Farm. The Harvest Dinner also celebrates more locally grown produce and products in the Nantucket Public Schools. Please come join us in the HS cafeteria on October 24th at 5:30-7:00 for a fun and tasty evening. Menu includes: pasta, bread, salad and blueberry crisp. Cost is only $10 per person.

2013 Sustainable Nantucket Agricultural Apprenticeships Available!

Sustainable Nantucket is seeking agricultural intern/ apprentices to participate in our Apprenticeship program. Successful candidates could  be high school, college or post-college students, and will be paired with one of six island farms / growers, or with our Farm to School Coordinator — experiencing and participating in many aspects of small-scale farming in our sensitive island environment, from greenhouse cultivation to field planting and harvest to farm stand sales.
